Join us on Monday November 11th @ 7pm for a discussion about water as a human right and public trust. Hear community organizers from Brazil and France discuss their actions to protect drinking water from extraction plans by Nestlé. Learn more about how to take action to protect water and Say No To Nestlé water bottling in Ontario.

About the Speakers
 
Franklin Frederick – Brazilian writer and political/ environmental activist now living in Switzerland. Franklin was part of the campaign to stop Nestlé watertaking in São Lourenço, Brazil.
 
Bernhard and Renée-Lise Schmitt – Founders of Collectif Eau 88 formed in 2016 to protect drinking water in Vittel, France from Nestlé water extraction.

Divest Waterloo is also partnering with the All Nations Grand River Water Walk to host a community dinner and raise funds to support the Indigenous core walkers for the 2020 walk from Lake Erie to the source of the Grand River. More details to follow closer to the date.
